Ramadan Karim! Ramadan is Generous! This happy phrase is the traditional greeting that people call out in the first days of Ramadan. The story of The Shared Lantern was written in the true spirit of this month of generosity, giving, compassion, and sharing.

It all started when 5-year-old Mohamed was inspired by the Belia books he had read, so he decided to write a story of his own! When the author visited Mohamed's. school, she was touched by his story and turned it into this wonderful book about sharing.
